Where do I even begin with my excitement about this post?!?! I am SO giddy with excitement right now that it might be a little bit embarrassing. Good thing I use this thing called the Internet so that my ridiculous elation can be filtered just enough where you won’t know just how ridiculous I am. Hopefully…
The reason I am so excited is because I get to share today one of the most fun shoots I’ve ever been able to do! Fun because it was on the island of Santorini, Greece!!! Just maybe one of the top places on my bucket list and not only did I get to go there, but I also got to do one of my favorite things…photograph a couple in love. It was unreal to be standing at the top of this volcanic island in the Aegean Sea and be posing this beautiful couple as they celebrated being newlyweds. Bobby and Noël met at their church in Dallas and quickly hit it off. After dating for a bit, it really didn’t take long for them to decide on forever. As Noël says, they just knew and ‘the rest of their lives’ couldn’t start soon enough. They were married last summer and so are still very much newlyweds. We had a blast celebrating their new marriage in one of the most beautiful places on earth. To start the session of right, we definitely made it to the top of island by riding on donkeys. CRAZY donkeys on super steep slopes. It was awesome in every way. Once we got to the top, it was breathtaking. They were such troopers as I got crazy giddy and kept saying, ‘just one more,’ about a million times. I could have spent hours walking around that beautiful island and would never have tired of taking portraits. Unfortunately, though, all good things must come to an end and I had to come home. I’d go back in a heartbeat to the amazingly blue waters of the Aegean but until then, here are some of my favs from their Santorini newlywed session!
Happy Monday!
This view is real. Still can’t believe it.
Favorite.
Can we just move this to Dallas, please?
As a side note, we definitely climbed up the side of this island on a donkey…
Love this shot on the left.
Noel, you are stunning.
