Behind the Bush Moments

Last summer I hid behind a bush (as people walked by and thought I was a total creeper) and photographed the proposal of a sweet friend of mine. Tonight, in Montgomery, AL,  I have the privilege of shooting their rehearsal dinner as these two lovebirds prepare for their wedding tomorrow. I was there when they met and I’m excited to be there when they commit forever to each other. Strangely enough, it’s things like hiding behind bushes that remind me that what I get to do is special. Special because through it, I get to witness life’s sweetest moments. I get to see firsthand that though we live in a broken world, God gives us glimpses of heaven through small yet monumental moments of joy. Wedding season is upon me, which means busy is an understatement. However, on days like today, it is good for me to stop and recognize how blessed I am. Blessed because my job is centered around those moments that keep us going. Those moments that are worth cherishing. Moments that make this broken world seem less broken.

Happy Friday!!! Sent all the way from Alabama!
