Well, Internet, it is official. Wedding season has crept up upon me and so has my ‘to do’ list. It sits on my desk every day with lots of empty squares and very few check marks. It has the incredible talent of being both my sanity-keeper and my stress-giver. True talent I must say. Without it, I would be lost. With it, I am overwhelmed. Such a love/hate relationship. This week is particularly insane for me with three sessions and prepping for a super exciting project than I can’t quite reveal yet. Not to mention, I just got back from a week in Florida and Alabama. I flew to Orlando to do a maternity session with my twin sister (more to come on that soon) and then drove to Montgomery, Alabama for a wedding of a sweet Dallas friend. It was exhausting but a blast and I was happy to see one of the things that truly does bring me much joy in life. Palm trees.
My daunting ‘to do’ list reminds me of one thing. I am a busy little bee…
Even though sometimes I feel like I’m buzzing out of control with my poor little wings working so hard they are barely keeping me adrift…I am grateful for one thing. To ‘bee’ busy. Pun very much intended.
After all, there is such reward in the work.
So, in the name of buzzing, Florida, palm trees and wedding season,
I say, Take Me Back!
