Take Me Back Tuesday | Florida Keys, Paradise and Taking a Break

My nose looks like Rudolph. My skin is covered in salt water. My body is fatigued from snorkeling. My clothes smell of sunscreen…and all of that means life is pretty darn wonderful! I am one happy camper! Vacation has been so great that I seriously totally forgot to blog yesterday! How did that happen!??! It must have been the fact that I had no real idea what day it was. This morning, as I was preparing to go deep-sea fishing at 6 am (woah buddy), I realized that it completely slipped my mind to post yesterday’s regular Monday blog. So much for consistency. Oh well. Vacation has been a blast and such a good thing for me. I have taken a total of about 10 pictures with my Canon 5D Mark iii and instead of have been ‘taking a break.’ A much-needed break! My family and I have been snorkeling, diving, sunbathing, deep-sea fishing, spear fishing and just plain enjoying the Florida coast for the last few days. I have personally overcome a couple of fears by snorkeling in the wide open deep blue. Even saw a nurse shark today…as it was aggressively approaching us. NOT my favorite moment of the trip but I’m proud to say that I didn’t panic and actually got back in the water later. A particularly big feat for this ‘fear of sharks’ gal. All in all, it has been a wonderful week and I’m sad to have to get back to reality tomorrow. Paradise can’t last forever I suppose but I plan to soak up every last minute of it!

So, in the name of Rudolph, overcoming fears, sunshine, taking breaks and paradise,

I Say, Take Me Back! (or in reality, let me stay!)

(more to come on vacation later)
