We sat down at Starbucks to discuss the possibility of me shooting their wedding…and ended up staying for almost 2 hours. That is quite possibly my favorite part of this job…when clients become friends. I knew immediately that these two were special people because of the way they treated me like we had known each other for years. Some people just have that knack, to make anyone and everyone comfortable instantly and well, this couple does has just that. Their love for people is so easy to see and it overflows from their love for one another. What is even more amazing, is how they are so perfectly suited for each other. They are truly a match made in heaven.
Brock and Scholle met their freshman year at Texas A&M and they became friends when they were lab partners in Geology class. She noticed his passion and joyful heart after 5 minutes of talking to him. He noticed her pretty blue eyes and her big smile, not to mention her sass, which he loved. They are each other’s support system. They laugh with one another. They cry with each other. They keep each other grounded and they make each other better. He is her best friend. She is his. Together, they are a dynamic duo.
After several years of dating, Brock took Scholle to Washington D.C., back to where they had spent their first summer apart as Brock did an internship in 2009. They had explored the city years before as two young people in love and he had brought her back, still very much in love. On the Georgetown waterfront, he knelt to one knee and asked his best friend to be his bride.
Brock and Scholle, I count it a privilege to work with couples like you who not only love each other well, but love others just as well. You serve as reminders of why I love what I do! I can’t wait to continue to celebrate with you and look forward to April!
Enjoy some of my favs from their e-session! We had so much fun walking around Klyde Warren Park and Turtle Creek. They even brought along their sweet dog, Bogey, who is VERY much part of the family!
Happy Monday!
