If you read the blog on Tuesday, this is simply a continuation of the ridiculousness that was that post. As I said on Tuesday, I keep a running folder on my computer that houses all of the ‘gems’ from behind my lens and then at the end of the year, a break them out so that people can join in with me as I laugh at myself. It’s quite possibly my favorite post of the year. Well, this year I just had too many images to choose from that I decided to do a Part 2 of the Behind the Scenes post. I have also categorized the images in to series as there were some common themes. So, on this rainy Friday, I hope you get some laughs out of yours truly. I am convinced that one of the greatest things you can do is have the security to laugh at yourself.
Happy Friday!
This series is entitled: The Girl Knows What She Wants. I may look a little bossy in these photos but really, I’m just good at instruction, right? Also, this confirms I have become an expert on how to cut a cake.
Do you think they are listening?
I’m particularly fond of the image on the right because it is proof that I am simply hilarious.
I am an expert on the art of cake cutting.
This series is entitled: Life Saver. This season I was so blessed to have Julie second shoot about 95% of my weddings so she had to be included in the behind the scenes post. She is SUCH a trooper for handling long days, many hours on her feet and my crazy antics for an entire year! I got so spoiled to have her with me the majority of the time and I can’t thank her enough for such a wonderful season. She definitely knows my drill and is a great assistant. These photos are to honor her hard work which very often includes carrying gear, posing as I test light, hanging the dress and running away and anticipating what I need before I need it. Not to mention, helping me capture the wedding day! Thanks Jules for an incredible year! You’re the best!
Testing light 🙂
This series is entitled: Where in the World is Mary? See if you can find me.
Run, Mary. Run.
How I get burned. I have scars to prove it.
Not only is my dress ridiculous but it looks like I’m giving Matt a talking to with that finger pointed at him!
Totally normal for me to be found walking in the street with traffic…
Extra points if you can find me in this one.
Ok, this is Julie’s favorite series, entitled: One Shoe. When I shoot, you might say that I get in the ‘zone’ and don’t notice much else…like the fact that I’m only wearing one shoe. This season, I wore my black flats quite a bit so they may have stretched out and come off my feet here and there. Except what was weird was that it was more often just one. Julie captured some of these images and we died laughing at the ridiculousness that I am sometimes. To this day we still crack up. Here’s to being in the zone and living a one shoe life. I apologize that my feet aren’t that cute…it’s the way God made them.
This series is maybe my favorite. If you’ve been following the blog this year, I will often post about my love for dancing and how I don’t let my camera interfere with me getting my groove on every weekend. So this series is entitled: The Girl Loves to Groove
Got to team up with my brother-in-law in Florida this last spring and we grooved on the dance floor. So fun.
Dancing with my sisters at my cousin’s wedding.
Wobble, baby. Wobble. It’s our favorite.
I love me some two-steppin’ (left) and learned to merengue (right).
This last series is a bit more serious and so it is entitled: Posed.
Got this pose down.
What a year Behind the Lens!!!!
