Take Me Back Tuesday | Some Things Are Worth It

Some things are worth it. ‘It’ meaning a number of things. In this case, ‘it’ is the 3 C’s. The calories, the chaos and the cash. You see every year during the month of October, there is a gathering of sorts in the state of Texas. People come flooding in every night, ready to fork over the dough and lose about ten years off their life just to indulge in some deep fried food. Fried Butter. Fried Oreos. Fried Frito Pie. Fried Cookie Dough. Fried Pizza. Fried PB&J. Fried Ice Cream. And this year’s winner, Fried Jumbalaya. Yep, the State Fair of Texas is a ‘fryin’ good time.

Now, while I might try a thing or two of the unique fried persuasion, my allegiance always goes to one thing. The Fletcher’s Corn Dog. It’s the best overpriced corn dog you ever put in your mouth. Well worth the calories, the chaos and the cash. Last night my family and I made the annual trip downtown to take part in the cultural phenomenon that is the State Fair of Texas. I got my Fletcher’s corn dog and was satisfied for at least another year. If you are in the Dallas area, may I recommend that you forgo the 3 C’s and get yourself one…

So, in the name of calories, chaos and cash,

I say, Take Me Back!!!

Happy Tuesday!
