Staci + George | A McKinney Flour Mill Wedding

His mother was having surgery and she was the physical therapist on her floor. A happy and beneficial coincidence they would later find out. They chatted casually while his mother was in the hospital, but she obviously caught his eye because he got her phone number and asked her for a date. They hit it off and after about a year of dating, in front of family and friends, they became Mr. and Mrs. It was a HOT summer day, but that didn’t change the atmosphere or the overall joy. It was a day that both had long-awaited and they were just too excited to become husband and wife.  Staci and George are the kind of couple that are easy to be around, make you laugh and make me SO grateful for my job. Their wedding was laid back and fun, yet the purpose of marriage was kept right where it should be…at the center.

Staci and George, thanks for letting me document such a beautiful occasion and to celebrate alongside the two of you as you became husband and wife. You made my job way too easy and allowed me to take the reins with my creative vision. I can’t tell you how much that is a photographer’s dream. Even though it was a ‘little’ warm, you trusted me enough to brave the outdoors and you were troopers the whole way through. I am so grateful that I get to work with people like you! Wishing you ALL the best in the years to come!

A special thank you to Sweet Pea Events for the styling, planning and coordinating of this beautiful wedding! They, along with Staci and her mom, did an unbelievable job with the details which made my day such a blast! I LOVE shooting details so beware as you scroll, there are a lot!

Happy Labor Day!

Beautiful!

She said these were the only socks that had anything to fit with ‘wedding day’ theme. Haha, so fun.

Staci, you are stunning!

First look!

Money shot.

Are these bridesmaid dresses fun or what?!?! I love the variety!

Love this boot shot and these fun dresses. So unique!

Such a fun idea for your guests during the ceremony!

Love George’s reaction! And this was AFTER a first look! See brides, you can still have a great moment with your groom walking down the aisle!

Married!

Yummy light, people. Yummy light.

This one is my fav and I can’t even take credit for it! Props to my second shooter, Julie, for this shot.

So this is one of my favorite images of the whole day. Before we headed off to the reception, I snapped this picture of Staci and George practicing their first dance. Without even noticing it, I later saw the writing on the wall as I was editing. ‘We will have these moments to remember.‘ This, ladies and gentlemen, is why I love photography.

So Staci, along with Sweet Pea Events, did a fabulous job with the reception details. I had a blast shooting all of them and so I couldn’t narrow it down to show. Please forgive the detail overload!

I about died when I saw this ‘Sweets’ table. Is it beautiful or what?!?!

Ok, I don’t usually comment on bands but this one is my all time favorite. Identity Theft has done two of my 2013 weddings thus far and I am a HUGE fan! They are phenomenal!

Yeah, these are totally different from my normal reception shots…but I love them.
