It’s Monday afternoon and I am well…exhausted. This blog post is a ‘lot a bit late’ because time got the best of me and here I find myself. Yet, in the midst of my exhaustion it all feels so right. Right because I am ‘back in the saddle again.’ It is indeed wedding season and I kicked it off with a BANG. A double-header weekend. I shot a beautiful wedding on Friday (more to come soon) and then hopped in the car and drove 3 hours to Oklahoma City. I stayed at my grandparents house, sleeping for a grand total of 3 hours and then got back in the car to drive to Wichita, KS where I photographed the wedding of some dear friends. At about 1 am on Sunday morning, I realized my body was yelling, ‘Please let me sleep!’ but my heart was very full. After a 2 and a half month break from shooting weddings, I was back it…back to the styling of wedding dresses and details. Back to the posing of ridiculous groomsmen. Back to the tears behind my camera at a first look. Back to doing the wobble with a camera in hand. Back to celebrating with couples as they promise forever. Yep, I am exhausted but in the best kind of way.
