Happy Friday from Greece! What a week it has been. Yesterday, we drove through beautiful mountains to explore Delphi, an ancient ruin from the 5th century B.C. Can’t wait to share with you the incredible history and beauty of this place, through my lens!
To complete this week of guest bloggers, I thought some more Friday ‘Tips and Tricks’ would be helpful. And today’s tips come from an incredibly experienced wedding planner. Emily Levings has been planning weddings since she was 17! For over 10 years now, she has been helping brides plan their dream wedding on a budget. Emily has experience in all of the facets of wedding planning from floral design, to ceremony scheduling, to reception decor. She has planned and coordinated for a few of my previous clients and I think she is so talented in helping execute a successful wedding day. I asked her to share her Top 4 Tips with us on planning your dream wedding and this is what she says…
1) When deciding on your budget, pick your top two things that are most important to you and start there. So if your dress is one of the most important things to you, spend a little more on it and go cheaper somewhere else. This way, you can prioritize what is really special to you.
2) If you are on a budget, getting people involved and doing it yourself will save a lot of money! Get creative!
3) Once you decide on your colors and theme, stop looking at Pinterest. It will only make you second guess or feel discontent with what you have.
4) Finally, on your wedding day, let go of all the details and enjoy getting married. Let someone else handle everything! (One of the reasons it’s important to hire a coordinator)
