They were both marketing students in college but he was a year older than her. Thankfully, though, they still had some classes together and were put in a group for their end of semester project. He had noticed her before the project, caught by her beauty, and so was anxious to meet her. She immediately began to appreciate how funny he was and how he made her laugh every day. By the end of the project they had established a friendship that would last forever. Class or projects no longer served as the only reason to hang out and their friendship just grew deeper and deeper. Little did she know, though, that he wanted more than friendship. He graduated and moved away while she finished up school and communication died down a bit. As their story would unfold, however, he got a job in Dallas where she just happened to be get a job as well after graduation. Their friendship picked up right where it left off except this time, things began to look a bit different. She realized she was falling for her best friend and well, the next New Year’s Eve, things changed forever.
For her 25th birthday, they planned a special trip to Cabo and he knelt to one knee during a surprise private dinner on the beach. She of course happily said yes and instead of celebrating a new year of life for her, they ended up celebrating the start of a whole new adventure…together.
These two are just the greatest! I had so much fun with them taking engagement portraits and it was so very easy to see that they truly are best friends. They not only adore each other but they make each other feel at home and at ease. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next spring but for now, enjoy some of my favorites from their e-session!
