They met at Kanakuk Kamps in 2006 while working during the summer. It was his smile that caught her attention and he was captured by the way she was so sweet to everyone. It wasn’t until many years later though, after both of them had relocated to the city of Dallas, TX, that their love story really took off. Brad was just finishing up law school and Samantha was just getting started at the same school. Their paths crossed again and this time it special. He would say that they fell one in love in Napa at a friend’s wedding during the summer and it wasn’t too long after that he surprised her with the sweetest proposal. He took her to lunch at the Dallas Arboretum and he had specially rented out one of their gardens. Waiting for her was a trunk with all kinds of special items that he used to propose…including the most beautiful ring. Of course, she happily said yes and couldn’t wait to start their lives together. She says, ‘he challenges me to be more settled and loves me so well…making me want to do the same for him’ and he says he ‘loves how she makes sure he doesn’t take himself too seriously.’ More than anything though, they love how each other love God and seek to put Him first in all things. They both agree that God brought them beautifully together and they can’t wait to see what He has in store for them in the days ahead.
Brad and Samantha’s wedding day was so very beautiful and though there was an early arrival of the winter cold for Dallas, the temperature didn’t stop these two from embracing all that the day had to offer. Friends and family joined them in the sweetest union of two people in love who were seeking to honor God by uniting together forever. It is always a joy to be part of a couple’s wedding day and I was especially privileged to share it with these two. Brad and Sam, thanks so much for letting me capture this important day in your lives. You two love people well, you love each other well and I can’t wait to see how you continue to do both of those things as husband and wife. As Brad’s gift so beautifully said, I really do believe that the ‘Best is Yet to Come!’ So thankful to have clients like you all and so thrilled as you embark on this new and lifelong adventure! Here’s to many happy years of being Mr. and Mrs.!
