Oh, my family. We are funny. Far from perfect. Have our quirks. Laugh at ourselves regularly. And love being together.
We only get every other holiday together and this year was our turn for Christmas. It was much-anticipated with this being the first holiday that we would have little ones around and we were ALL pumped. The ladies probably were a bit more vocal about it but then…isn’t that usually the case. The house looked a little bit different than it normally does with bottles, pack n’ plays, stuffed animals and baby food processors…but I loved it. Opening gifts took on a whole new meaning, as it is way more fun to watch ‘kids’ open gifts rather than adults, not to mention the joy my sisters and I got out of dressing two precious boys up as Santas. They may hate us later but for today….they have no say. Overall, it was just a sweet holiday being with the people who I love most. Funny how a year ago, these boys weren’t ‘here’ and now I can’t imagine life without them. The beauty of a growing family…
So, in the name of Santa suits, babies and my crazy family,
I Say, Take Me Back!
I got both nephews my favorite children’s book for Christmas. The Little Engine That Could. If you haven’t read it, you should.
So cruel with the bow…
Ok…is he not the most adorable boy you ever saw?!?! Those cheeks!
Opening his gift from his cousin.
The start of a lifelong friendship.
Of course we had to take some family portraits…
My wonderful parents who are responsible for leading our family in such a God-honoring way.
So happy to be grandparents!
My birthday twin!
Ok, so my sister’s and I have an epic group text. Somewhere during this holiday season, we decided it would be fun to get the boys some Christmas costumes. They will hate us later but for today, let’s marvel at their cuteness. I mean come on!
Three of my very best friends…who are also VERY weird.
They will hate me for posting these…but I don’t know that I care!
Powell women forever and always.
The whole crew. Rarely all together so we had to document. So blessed to have these people in my corner and get to share life with them.
