Take Me Back Tuesday | A Few of My Favorite Things

If you have followed the blog at all, you may know something about me. I adore my family. Certainly, I can recognize that other families are pretty awesome too but if I’m being real…I’m pretty convinced that mine is hard to beat. That my seem narrow-minded but the beauty is that no one has to agree with me. I am perfectly content believing it on my own..and don’t worry, I’m smart enough to know that I feel this way because they ARE my own. Regardless of where they fall in the ‘cool families club,’ I can’t even begin to express how thankful I am for them and the friendships that we have. As the years go by and our ages increase, they become more and more a comfort to me and the source of so much joy. I have three sisters and they are some of my very best friends. About a year ago, we started a group text between the four of us and it has quickly become my  most favorite thing ever. If the outside world could only see the ridiculousness that fills that group text feed they would either think we are C-razy or that we are the raddest group of four women to ever grace the planet. In my mind, it would be the latter.

If you have been following the blog for a while you might also know that I LOVE the beach! I’ve grown up going to the beach my whole life and every time my toes hit the sand, I’m like that little girl again…just a happy camper. This year I’ve been on a Greek beach, a Turkish beach, a Costa Rican beach and now I’m headed to a Florida beach. Bring on the sun! This time next week, I’ll be merging a few of my favorite things, sisters, family and salt watery toes….and I can’t wait. This crazy group of four, along with their husbands, my parents and three little nephews (one as a stowaway) are all headed to the Florida for a week in just four short days!!!! We will be reunited and I couldn’t be more pumped! I’m a little over half way through my crazy wedding schedule so this time together is JUST what the doctor ordered. A chance to snuggle my nephews, play in the ocean, soak up some sun and spend time with my favorite people will be oh so good for my heart. I can’t wait to be with them again, to giggle like crazy…when no one understands why but us and to make the crazy text feeds an in person reality
