Take Me Back Tuesday | 15 in 16 | A Wonderful Season

(Yes, I realize it is not Tuesday but Wednesday. I’m not that crazy. Yesterday, the blog was experiencing some technical difficulties so I had to postpone. We will call it ‘We Remember Wednesday)

15 in 16.

Yep…Internet, that is the count. I somehow managed to shoot 15 weddings in 16 weeks. When I started my spring/summer wedding season back in March, I wondered if I would make it through. I LOVE what I do, but let’s be real…that’s a LOT of weddings.

Well, as I write this, I am two things.

1.Exhausted.

2. Blessed beyond words.

It has been a ‘crazy kind of wonderful’ first half of 2013 for Mary Fields Photography. My feet have endured long days of no rest, I have ‘wobbled’…baby…pretty much ever weekend, bustled all kinds of dresses, become a wedding cake snob and made some sweet friends along the way. No doubt about it, I have the best clients a girl could ask for and I am so thankful that they trust me enough to let me document their special day! Don’t worry though, I am a little over half way done with my 2013 wedding schedule and so there is much more to come. Until then, however, I am taking a much-needed month break from weddings to regroup, reorganize, refocus and RELAX! Plus, I have a LOT of editing to do. As a creative, I’m discovering the need to ‘rest’ from creativity here and there so as to revive the creative spirit in the end. It makes sense in my head. I’m excited about some projects I have on the horizon and look forward to seeing how my business continues to evolve. My number one business goal is to never get stuck but keep learning!
