It was one of those winter days where God gives you a little gift of reprieve from the dreary cold and blesses you with sunshine and blue skies. The sun was high in the sky providing a glorious 70 degree day and the wind off of the water didn’t give its normal unwelcome winter chill. No, this day was special. Special in its glorious weather but more importantly, special in its celebration. Two people, joined by their dearest friends and family, devoted their lives to one another, promising forever and always…come what may.
They had met when they were just 17 years old at T Bar M summer camps, not knowing that their friendship would become so much more. Years later, they met up again at a Texas A&M function (which was crazy since she went to Baylor) and the sparks began to fly. Coffee led to dating and dating led to forever. It was soon clear that these two were committed to sharing their lives for the rest of their days and so Hudson planned a special surprise proposal. He had told her they were going to a Kansas City Royals game but instead shocked her with a park proposal…to which she of course said an undoubted yes! Not too long after, they found themselves holding hands, exchanging rings and committing to lifelong vows…all on a rare sunny January day.
Paige and Hudson, oh, how I loved shooting your wedding! Sure it was wonderful not to be freezing in January but more wonderful was the opportunity to get to work with couples like you. Your love for one another, your love for people and your love for God are so inspiring to me as an artist and as a person. Thank you for letting me be a small part of it and for allowing me to document such a beautiful day! I cannot wait to see how your story continues to unfold!
Enjoy some of my favs from their January wedding in Waco! Warning: There are a lot. A First Look + A gorgeous day + An Epic dance party = A LOT of favorites!
Happy Monday!
