They met three years ago at the church that he works at. He noticed her eyes and her smile. She noticed how tall and funny he was. According to her, ‘he brings more fun to her life’ and reminds her not to take life so seriously. He loves her sensitivity to the world around her and the happiness she brings just by being with her.

Together, they balance each other out.

Being a wedding photographer, I see this all the time and it’s one of my favorite part about relationships. Because each of you brings different strengths to the table, you are better together than apart. That, Internet, is one of the many reasons why I love what I do. My time with Dexter and Meggie only added more reasons to that list as they made my job way too easy and way too fun. They were laid back and just enjoyed being together. A photographer’s dream. Thank you both for letting me part of your engagement process and I can’t wait for August!

(Dexter and Meggie’s height difference may be one of my favorite things about them. Being a bit short myself, I kind of love when a short girl ends up with a tall guy…sorry taller ladies. I know that’s not cool but well…it is what it is. When I asked Dexter on their couples survey if there was anything additional I should know about the two of them he drew two stick figures. One tall. One short and said, ‘I’m tall. She’s shorter…and I love her to death!” As stated many times before, my couples are the greatest! Also, Dexter is the absolute COOLEST Instagrammer so I highly suggest following him. His name is @dexdexterdex…you won’t regret it!)
