Meggie + Dexter | A Highland Park United Methodist Church Wedding | Dallas

Oh…how I love these two. We met up for the first time way back early this year to see about me doing their wedding and I liked them instantly. Then over the span of about 8 months we met up for engagements, bridals and finally their wedding day, building more than just a working relationship. They became friends. I absolutely love when that happens with my clients and I don’t take it for granted. These two are just so great that you can’t help but love to be around them.

They make an incredible pair as their personalities are so different but their hearts are so aligned. She’s a self-proclaimed Type A personality and he is a free creative spirit. Yet, at the center of it all, they both love each other and seek to love others…and they do it well. This was displayed to me throughout their entire wedding process as they welcomed me in to their world and sought to have a wedding that was centered not around themselves, but those that they would share it with. This led them to hosting their wedding reception at their favorite Mexican restaurant here in town so that they could have a more private and intimate setting to love on their wedding guests. I LOVE THAT! The story itself is quite fun too because when they first started dating, they both loved white queso. So, of course they googled places in the area to get such deliciousness and found Amigos Restaurant in Richardson, TX. They visited it, fell in love with the queso, made friends with the owner (again a testament to their love of relationships) and became regulars. When it came time to pick a reception location, it just made sense. So unique, so meaningful and so special. This all set a tone for a wonderful wedding day with friends and family to celebrate two people whose lives were becoming one. All in all, this wedding reminded me so much of why I love what I do.

Meggie and Dexter, I cannot express how grateful I am to get to work with you two! You bless others well and I have certainly been one of them! Thanks for allowing me to be part of such a special and wonderful journey! I can’t wait to see how it continues to unfold! Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter (confident that Dex won’t disappoint on this one) and joy.

Happy Friday!

P.S. If you love Mexican food, especially white queso, I do highly recommend Amigos Restaurant in Richardson. I’ve become a believer!

Meggie’s dress was stunning!

This, my friends, is one of the MANY reasons why I love when my clients choose to do a First Look. His reaction says it all. You can still have your ‘moment!’

Oh, Meggie. I’ve told you from the beginning about those eyes and this face. STUNning.

Looking sharp, Dex.

Ok, so I have to comment on her flowers. They. were. to. die. for. Brides, flowers can add SO much to your day so if you can, be choosey.

Snapped this shot right as they were leaving the church having just been married! One of my favorites!

I love that even the legos show their height difference!

She loves dinosaurs and he loves legos. Perfect.
