Oh dear. I know that I say this a lot…but I really MEAN it a LOT! I have the most wonderful clients! They are lovely people, both outwardly and inwardly. Lauren and Michael just heightened my sense of this blessing as they are genuinely some of the sweetest and joyful people. I walked away from their engagement session just giving thanks that God continues to bless me with couples who are such a delight to work with! It makes me love what I get to do even more.
Lauren and Michael met at Baylor University during one of the universities greatest traditions: Baylor Sing. It’s a chance for student organizations to perform short Broadway style productions in competition with other organizations. It obviously involves singing and well…it’s a big deal. Lauren was one of the leads in her organization and so she was on stage rehearsing when Michael saw her. He was of course instantly struck by her beauty and talent, though he had never officially met her. He did, however, need a date to an upcoming function and he made up his mind that he would ask her out. Things got a little interesting though when the guys in his fraternity decided to help him out and set it up for him to ask her out while she was on stage…in front of everyone. She was of course shocked, having no idea who he was or if he was a total creep. He got her number though and called her later for coffee. After spending a little time with him, she quickly realized that not only was he NOT a creep but that she thought he was just really great. A bold move on the stage of Baylor’s Sing turned into a sweet love story. Is that not the greatest?! This, my friends, is what I love about being a wedding photographer. Everyone’s story is so unique and I have the privilege of telling it!
These two are just plain wonderful and I can’t wait for their March wedding. We had a blast walking around White Rock Lake and they made my job way too easy! Enjoy some of my favs from their e-session!
