“Marriage is the meeting of two hearts, two minds and two souls,” her father said as he gave his rehearsal dinner speech. “I wish you enjoyment for today, fulfillment for all your hopes and dreams for tomorrow and love and happiness forever and ever,” he spoke over them as tears filled both of their eyes. Their friends and family talked of her compassion and kindness for others, an ability to champion people unlike any other. They spoke of his exceptional and innate leadership that causes people to easily follow him. However, probably the most resounding message that came across as their friends and loved ones expressed their affection for this sweet couple was their overall care for people. It was a consistent theme as people shared how this couple had cared for them and gone above and beyond to love them well. My own particular story with this couple is no different. From the first time we met at Starbucks until they said goodbye on their wedding day, these two have treated me like a friend and have been such a joy to work with. There is a sincere and genuineness to these two that is so rare in people and even more rare that they share it equally. Their compassion and concern for the people around them matched with an overwhelming love for each other will take them places that I think few couples go and affect the world in ways that few couples do.
After several years of dating and sharing life, Brock and Scholle finally got to pledge forever and become husband and wife. It was a joyous day and one for much celebration. The April morning was rainy and wet but by the afternoon the sun had come out and was shining brightly on their special day. They said ‘I do’ and danced the night away as Mr. and Mrs. while their friends and family happily danced in agreement. Brock and Scholle, I can’t thank you enough for letting me be a part of your wedding and the engagement process. God is so good to give me clients like the two of you and I don’t take it for granted! I am encouraged to care for others the way that you care for those around you and each other. I can’t wait to see where the days ahead lead you two! Here’s to many long years of joy-filled marriage!
