Well, even though the 100 degree forecast for today would suggest otherwise, it is almost fall around here. Summer days are winding down and though wedding season is still in pretty full swing for me, we are also entering in to one of my favorite times. Engagement season! Fall is definitely heavy on engagement sessions for me which I LOVE! It means getting to hang out with my couples in a much more laid back environment as we document the exciting season of life they are experiencing. So, get ready for the blog to look a lot more engagey (yeah I just made up that word).
Kylie and William met through church about 7 years ago and a love story was begun. She first noticed his smile and how friendly he was with everyone. He first noticed her ‘gorgeous bluish green eyes…and then her smile!’ He can make her laugh even on hard days. She makes his life a blast with her by his side. They are each other’s best friends and can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together. After 5 years of dating he took her on a private plane ride over Dallas just after sunset. When they landed, he got down on one knee and asked her to be his bride (ok, gentlemen…take notes!).
In an attempt to escape the summer heat, the three of us met up at sunrise for their engagement session and I about died at the morning light. For those of you who follow the blog, the yumminess of the light was on a whole new scale! Not to mention, these two made it SO easy and so fun. They truly do make each other laugh so easily which is always a photographer’s dream. We had so much fun walking around the lake and just spending some time capturing their sweet love for one another. I am so privileged to work with couples like them and can’t wait for their January wedding!
