Dallas Engagement Photography | Shelby + Cameron

One of my favorite ways to gain new clients is through weddings that they have been in or attended. I love it because they have seen first hand how I work, how I direct the day, my style and my quirks. They know what they are getting and therefore they trust me more. Bridesmaids in my weddings make the best brides! That is why I was ecstatic when Shelby emailed me a few months ago to inquire about booking me for her December wedding to Cameron, the love of her life. Shelby had been a bridesmaid in Alexa and Phil’s wedding this past summer and I absolutely adored her.

Shelby and Cameron met several years ago working at a Christian summer camp while they were in college. “He was so popular, though, that we didn’t have much interaction at first,” she said to me as she cast a playful look at him…a distinct gleam in her eye. He just smiled right back at her, equally as playful. A while later, back from their warm summer days, she casually messaged him on Facebook and two weeks later they were dating. Then, this past December, he asked her to be his…for forever. These two are just way too much fun, making me laugh the whole way through their engagement session. It is so easy to see how they love one another and how they are each other’s best friend. I felt so privileged to document their love in this season and can’t wait for December!
