Behind the Lens: A Life of Growth

Growth. It’s a painful yet fruitful process. Without it, we are stunted. With it, we are pruned. It is exciting. Thrilling. Terrifying. It’s a wild ride with no guarantees. It is not predictable nor easy. Yet, it is worth it.

It is life.

Been pondering lately (can’t decide if that happens too often or not often enough) this season of life for myself and where the Lord is taking this gal. You see, He is at work. Always. Working on and in me. He is pruning, pulling, nurturing and graciously shaping us as we go.  I used to think it was a ‘season’ of life. You know, I’d say, ‘I’m just in a season of growth,” making myself feel better by implying that with a season came a ‘change of seasons.’ However, I am learning that growth is not a season…it is a reality. We are always being challenged and the Lord will always be working on my heart in godliness.Though it is painful, I am grateful.

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.”– John 15:1-2
