Oh, Internet. I am SO excited to be able to show these beautiful bridals! Alexa got married this past weekend and it was a beautiful wedding! She is absolutely a STUNNING bride and so I can’t wait to post pictures from her wedding. Until then though, enjoy some of my favorites from her bridal session a few weeks ago. We hadn’t planned on doing bridals but Alexa’s mom called me last minute and really wanted to make it happen. With Alexa finishing up a year of med school, it was hard to fit in to her busy schedule but we made it work right before I left for vacation. The three of us piled in to the car and headed south to Waco, TX where Alexa and her now husband, Phil, had gone to school and met. It was a beautiful summer day and along I-35 we found the most breathtaking sight. An entire field full of giant SUNFLOWERS! I of course was in photographer’s heaven and so we decided to make a stop on the way back home. We spent a few hours shooting around Baylor’s campus, including the beautiful Armstrong Browning Library. It was blazing hot but Alexa was a champ. After a short break we headed back and stopped our car along the highway to play in some sunflowers! I love it when brides (and their mothers) trust me enough to do things like stopping on the side of a major highway, standing in a field in an expensive dress and enduring Texas heat. I’m so appreciative of their faith in me and I think that it pays off when you get beautiful images! Thanks to Alexa, her mother and all my other wonderful clients that allow me to be a visionary and push the limits a little bit!

Oh, girl. Alexa’s mother was a model and so ever since she was a kid she has been practicing the ‘serious face.’ Girl, it paid off. You make this way too easy! I told her I was going to hire her to teach my other clients and I was only slightly joking!
