Alexa + Phil | An Ashton Garden’s Summer Wedding | Dallas, TX

Oh…how I love these two. Sometimes I have clients who only hire me for the wedding day itself and I’m always sad about that because it limits my time with them. My favorite is when a couple will book me for their engagements, bridals and wedding day. It’s my favorite, you see, because then my clients become my friends.

This sweet couple booked me several months ago and we did their engagements back when there was still a chill in the air and the leaves were still all kinds of beautiful shades. We had a blast documenting their sweet love and we laughed a lot. A few months later, I traveled with Alexa and her mom to Waco, TX for her bridals. It was VERY warm but we made it through, spent some fun time road tripping and even pulled off the side of the road to take some bridals in a sunflower field (check that out here). Then, this summer, we joined once again to celebrate their special day alongside their friends and family. It was a beautiful summer day and their love was SO easy for me to document. As they said their vows to one another, tears welled within my own eyes because they weren’t just clients to me. I, like so many others in the room, was so excited to see these two be joined as husband and wife. It was a blessed event. A blessed day. And a blessed couple.

Alexa and Phil, I cannot thank you enough for making my job easy and for letting me walk with you, even as a small part, on your journey to marriage! I am blessed to work with couples like you! Wishing you ALL the best in the days ahead as Mr. and Mrs.!
