I love when I photograph couples and it is just so easy to see how they fit. They are just right in being together. That is how I felt about Christiana and David. They just fit. These two are some of the most kind and friendly people I have ever met, making me and everyone else around them feel at ease. It shows in the way they interact with each other and it definitely showed in the way their guests celebrated them at their wedding.
They met through mutual friends in Dallas after they graduated college and dated for a year and a half before he popped the question at the beautiful Dallas Arboretum. When they were first introduced, the first thing they both noticed about each other was how friendly the other person was. Funny, because that is definitely the word I would use to describe them both as well. Well, friendship turned into love and love turned into forever. She loves his wisdom, the fact that he can fix anything and that he just has an uncanny way of calming her down. All good things to have in a husband. He loves her confidence and the fact that she is a woman of deep and genuine friendships. Not to mention, he loves the way she dances to herself when she eats something particularly delicious 🙂 In both of their words, they balance each other out and well, let’s be honest, that is one of the greatest things about marriage. You are better together than apart.
I had the privilege of knowing Christiana long before she met David when we met while working at summer sports camp. Years down the road, our paths crossed as I photographed a few of her friend’s weddings and it was there that I got to meet David. I remember meeting him and thinking, they are a truly sweet couple. The kind you just want to be around. The kind that make you smile at the beauty of relationships.
Well, a short time later, I got to photograph their love on a very special day, surrounded by people who love them dearly. It was a great celebration. Christiana and David, thank you for letting me share in such a monumental day in your lives. The joy was tangible and the kindness evident. Wishing you the best and can’t wait to see where this marriage journey leads you!
